If anyone plans to travel to Karlsruhe by car, please, let us know in advance, so that we can arrange the registration that will allow accessing the campus with a vehicle. Set your GPS system to “Adenauerring 7”, which the main entrance (Haupteinfahrt) to KIT Campus Süd. At the gate you have to park your car on the right side and see the reception in the building on the right side (KIT’s library).
If you arrive by public transport, the campus is best accessible from the tram stop ‘Durlacher Tor / KIT Campus Süd’, as indicated on the map. From there it is just a 5 minute walk to MZE. For Tram service from Karlsruhe Main Station to KIT, please, check the notice boards. A journey planner is also available at http://www.kvv.de/.
We usually recommend to arrive at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) as you will find direct services to all European cities from there. Every hour, a direct high-speed railway connection services Karlsruhe in just one hour. If more convenient for whatever reason, you can also fly into Stuttgart (STR) or Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB, Ryanair). From Stuttgart you best take a rental car though train connection is available with changing trains at Stuttgart main station. From Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden a shuttle bus offers service to Karlsruhe main station or you can rent a car.
